The Committee
The Pre-school is managed by a committee of volunteers who take care of all aspects of running the Pre-school. Of course we let the staff get on and do what they do best, but we are here to deal with all the other issues such as staff training, fund raising, Pre-school trips and the finances of course!
Each committee member is checked by the “Criminal Records Bureau” and then approved to work with children in the Pre-school environment. We are always delighted to welcome a new face to our friendly committee.
Our A.G.M is held in October, we notify parents of both the pre-school and toddler group and put signs up around the village.
The A.G.M is the perfect time to join our committee, although you may be able to be nominated in at other times of the year.
Committee work can feel like a black hole at times, soaking up time and energy but the more of us there are the less time one person needs to spend. The more effort we put in, however, means the better the results are and the more satisfaction is gained.
